Gastroenterology and Hepatology is a discipline of Adult Medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, investigation and treatment of diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract, pancreas, liver and biliary tract. The centre is equipped with professional diagnostic tools for gastroenterological diseases.

Endoscopy & Day Surgery Centre

Our Endoscopy & Day Surgery Centre located at 1st Floor, it has a reception and waiting room, two consultation rooms, two endoscopy rooms, a well-equipped minor operation room and six separated cosy lounges for our patient to take a rest after surgery.

Our Team

IMC has a team of experienced gastroenterologists to treat gastroenterological disorders of different complexities such as chronic liver conditions, hepatitis, malabsorption and even various cancers of the digestive system, which may require the involvement of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists consisted of oncologists and general surgeons.

Endoscopy

We provide Gastroscopy and Colonscopy for investigation, and to prevent cross infection, all instruments are disposable appliances. Begin a one-stop high-end medical services provider, we provide comfortable and secure environment, a professional and safe examinations to our patients.

Advanced Facilities

The endoscopy room and cleansing room of the day surgery center adopts the latest models of Olympus endoscope reprocessors, which greatly reduces the cross-infection and ensures the hygiene of the operation room. Disposable instruments such as biopsy forceps and polypectomy snares are also used during endoscopy to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable day surgery service. In addition, the endoscopy room also uses advanced technology such as endoscope-specific pump, the narrow band imaging (NBI) and an endoscope-specific carbon dioxide importer etc.

In order to provide a finest medical services, our endoscope room is fully equipped with the state-of-the-art Olympus HQ 290 endoscopic series. The auto pressure water jet, dual focus and the 170° wide-angle technique not just offer high definition images, but enable doctors to pick up the hidden polyps at ease. Benefiting from these functions, our specialists can give the best performance at the endoscopic level.
